Tanam Farsooda jaa para Ze Hijra Ya Rasul Allah

August 12, 2006

Tanam Farsooda jaa para

Ze Hijra Ya Rasul Allah

Dillam Paz Murda Aawara

Ze Isyaa. Ya Rasul Allah

My body is dissolving in your separation

And my soul is breaking into pieces. Ya Rasul Allah!

Due to my sins, My heart is weak and becoming enticed. Ya Rasul Allah!

Choon Soo’e Mun Guzar Aari

Manne Miskeen Zanaa Daari

Kunam Ja. Ya Rasul Allah!

When you pass by me

Then even in my immense poverty, ecstatically,

I must sacrifice my soul on your blessed sandal. Ya Rasul Allah!

Ze Jaame Hubb To Mustam

Ba Zanjeere To Dil Bustam

Nu’mi Goyam Ke Mun Bustum

Sukun Daa. Ya Rasul Allah

I am drowned in the taste of your love

And the chain of your love binds my heart.

Yet I don’t say that I know this language (of love). Ya Rasul Allah

Ze Kharda Khaish Hairaanam

Siyaa Shud Roze Isyaanam

Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam, Pashemaanam. Ya Rasul Allah

I am worried due to my misdeeds;

And I feel that my sins have blackened my heart. Ya Rasul Allah!

I am in distress! I am in distress! I am in distress! Ya Rasul Allah!

Choon Baazoo’e Shafaa’at Raa

Khushaa’I Bar Gunaagara

Makun Mahruume Jaami Raa

Daraa Aan. Ya Rasul Allah

When you spread your hands to intercede for the sinners,

Then do not deprive Jaami of your exalted intercession.

The poem demonstrates the depth of love Hadrat Maulana Abdur Rahman Jaami (rahmatullah alayh) had for Sayyiduna Rasulullah

May Allah (SWT) grant us all a share of such love for his Habib, Ameen.

Darud al Taj

August 6, 2006

The Darud al Taj or “Invocation of the Crown” was compiled by Shaykh Abî Bakr ibn Sâlim (rahmatullah alayh) the Great Paternal Grandfather of Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz. A dear teacher and Shaykh informed me this Salawat is included in Habib `Umar’s own compilation of Awrad, which his Murids carry with them.

The transliteration and translation can be found at;

A rendition of the Darud can be found at;

The Darud al Taj was attacked by some in British India and a Fatwa was issued that it contained Shirkiyah statements (contaminated with shirk). It stated that spreading the teaching of Durood al Taj to the masses is like giving them lethal poison, because many people will become victims of contaminated shirk beliefs and thus causes one to be destroyed. May Allah protect us from such people and their whisperings, Ameen.

This Fatwa resulted in the famous caliph of Haji Imdadullah Muhajir Makki (rahmatullah alayh); Mawlana Karamatullah writing a letter to Sayyidi Hadrat Imām Aĥmad RiĎā Khān (rahmatullah alayh)  about ‘Durud al-Taj’, in which the Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم was referred to as ‘Dafi al-Bala’ or the ‘a guard from befalling calamities’. Whereupon receiving this letter the Imam wrote an epistle on the Prophet صلي الله عليه و سلم as the protection and guard of the Ummah entitled, ‘Ikmal al-Tamah ala shirki sawa bi al-Umur al-Aamah’ also known as ‘al-Amnu wa al-Ula’ in which he collected three hundred Hadith on the permissibility of calling him by this name and mentioning sixty verses from the Holy Quran in his work.

Alhamdulillah the epistle is in the stage of being translated into English and there are plans to translate it into Arabic. The Original work is available online at
